Avaya’s Desktop Experience portfolio of smart business devices, has been reinvented.
Avaya’s Desktop Experience portfolio of smart business devices, has been reinvented. Avaya has a new line of professional-grade communication headsets, enhanced Broadsoft UC feature support, changes to its Essential Experience J100 series, and the availability of device enrolment 2.0.
The portfolio currently includes five corded headsets, with cordless headsets to become available in the future. Having added AcousticEdge technology, the headsets will be able to provide the best audio experience and protect users from long term damage.
Avaya has built on the November 2018 expansion of its open SIP smart devices portfolio, and continue to do so. So far we see a significant increase in the ability of the Essential Experience J100 series. It has enabled UCaaS service providers to add Avaya open SIP to their UCaaS offerings on a broad scale. On-top of all these features Avaya has introduced a new full colour, high resolution Essential Experience module that can be attached to J169 or J179 IP Phones to give an expanded display. The J179 Essential Experience now supports Bluetooth connectivity as well.
There is a new 2.0 version of Avaya’s Device Enrolment Service (DES) which allows zero-touch provisioning for smart desktop installation. There are many new capabilities included, such as support of the G14 Languages, re-enrolment support, notification and data export improvements, and security enhancements. Avaya’s DES has been designed specifically to reduce deployment cost.
Ard Verboon, General Manager of the devices portfolio, Avaya said;
“Avaya continues to make significant strides in revolutionising the desktop space and advancing the Open SIP market. With the availability of support for Broadsoft advanced features combined with the large breadth of the Avaya Desktop Experience portfolio, Avaya is now a one-stop shop for any smart device that a company may need, and UCaaS providers can now look to Avaya to meet their smart devices needs–from the professional desktop, to campus mobility, to personal and room conferencing, to headsets–as well as industry vertical solutions.”
