Apple Launches three new iPhones
Apple says that bigger is better with the release of three new iPhone models, the XR, XS and XS Max.
With the Xs at 5.8-inches and the Xs Max at 6.5, comes an impressive Super Retina display, a faster and clearer dual camera system and the first 7-nanometer chip in a smartphone. Other internal features include an A12 Bionic chip, faster face ID, wider stereo sound and a dual sim. The iPhone Xs and Xs Max will be available to pre-order on Friday 14th September, and in stores on Friday 21st just one week later.
The A12 Bionic features two performance cores which are up to 15% faster, and four efficiency cores said to be up to 50% more efficient. These are just two examples of the new enhanced features unlocking new experiences for games, photography and video editing alike. With all this power we expect a lagging battery, but Apple have found a way to offer 30 minutes longer for the Xs than the IPhone X, and an hour and a half longer on the Xs Max!
“iPhone Xs is packed with next-generation technologies and is a huge step forward for the future of the smartphone. Everything is state of the art including the industry-first 7-nanometer A12 Bionic chip with 8-core Neural Engine, faster Face ID and an advanced dual camera system that shoots Portrait mode photos with Smart HDR and dynamic depth of field,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “iPhone Xs is not one, but two new iPhone models, and iPhone Xs Max offers the biggest display ever in an iPhone with the biggest battery ever in an iPhone, delivering up to an hour and a half more battery life in your day.”
iPhone Xs and Xs Max will – like the X, be available in 64GB and 256GB capacity models, adding the new 512GB model to the collection. The Xs retails at £999 – the same price as the original X, while the XR will be less at a reasonable £749.
